I just came across a mail and felt kinda really good after reading it ... this is what the contents said ..

One day, the father of a very wealthy family took his son on a trip to
the country with the
express purpose of showing him how poor people live.

They spent a couple of days and nights on the farm of what would be
considered a very poor family.

On their return from their trip, the father asked his son, "How was the trip?"

"It was great, Dad."

"Did you see how poor people live?" the father asked.

"Oh yeah," said the son.

"So, tell me, what did you learn from the trip?" asked the father.

The son answered:

"I saw that we have one dog and they had four.

We have a pool that reaches to the middle of our garden and they have
a creek that has no end.

We have imported lanterns in our garden and they have the stars at night.

Our patio reaches to the front yard and they have the whole horizon.

We have a small piece of land to live on and they have fields that go
beyond our sight.

We have servants who serve us, but they serve others.

We buy our food, but they grow theirs.

We have walls around our property to protect us, they have friends to
protect them."

The boy's father was speechless.

Then his son added,  "Thanks Dad for showing me how poor we are."

Isn't perspective a wonderful thing? Makes you wonder what would
happen if we all gave thanks for everything we have, instead of
worrying about what we don't have.

Appreciate every single thing you have, especially your friends!

sometimes going through these mails just kinda fills up the heart and brings you back to a very good mood..
there's a smile on my face now and it says Thank you :)

Once upon a time there lived humans, severed into girls and boys, and them segregated into- some sane, some not so sane and the others insane... These  ‘not so sane’ people belonging to the boy horde used to grow what they called long-hair on their heads... (The very reason why they were named so) , they were believed to be deluded and blah blah blah……………………

These are the lines which might go into the books of civilizations ;) .... written in a better way of course!

As suggested by Harsha  ( or should I say Hairsha  ;) ) (didn’t know what to write for the second post, so..) , this post is what I am attempting  to write….

Its about boys possessing ‘baal ki dukaan’  , btw..  :)

‘Fashion is a form of ugliness   so intolerable that we have to alter it every six months’--- this is what Oscar Wilde had quoted…..  but they don’t cut it(hair) after six months!

I don’t exactly remember when this whole ..’ grow your hair people ‘… thing started , I suppose Sanjay Dutt was amongst the first few… but hitherto John Abraham .. this really has been a craze….  at least   that’s what the papers  ( Bangalore Times , obviously) say..

It puts you into a cynosure, because all that people end up talking about is the grown hair and its care.. Or how exactly the hair looks on the person’s head or how the person has changed in terms of his looks …. You look like that,.. no like this…Omg , couldn’t recognize you at all!  And honestly, I speak this out of experience, Check out J’s  post on hair care, really hilarious! And you’ll know.

Shampoos and J&J products, stay away from gels and what not… yeah, everyone ends up conceding that they care for the hair!

I see boys gossip about it often… the intriguing part was my cousin, J3 asking suggestions about the hair care! And I give him what could be called ‘an expert’s advice’ :D  (I wouldn’t be surprised if J comments on this! ).. I always told him, keep it washed, you look like Frodo Baggins when your hair is all shampooed and fresh….  And trust me he listened to that!  The big Garfield did that job without any regrets, for having put his time for something like washing hair and not being lazy

But the most irritating thing about it, the way people get it coloured! URGH.. you can find all kinds of weird  colours tried on the ghane sunehare baal!! , which looks like absolute grotesque…  Even though men growing long hair dates back to the centuries where Elves lived, it looked good on them, they never colored their hair :P

Apparently I like the curls when unkempt.. Considering the posit that my hair is always like that! :D

Funny thing that keeps happening, I mistake the lambe latein to be that of a girl’s!! Then when I see the face… the standard response would be, that bizarre look on the face and some giggles followed by comments of course! But now its lot better, I can recognize a boy’s grown hair on the heads! :D (er..)

People enjoy bike rides like never before , I saw a person so happy with wind blowing through his hair.... well he was the pillion rider of course.. it looked like a dog sticking its face out of the car windows to enjoy  the breeze….

Now you even get  all kinds of stuff for hair like gels, sticky  style hard thingy to give the hair static electricity stricken looks(… good God save them ! ) and what not?  People do chose to try them on… and yeah, now there are beauty parlors for men too.. ;) where they can get their hair straightened or whatever!

These were some  reviews about the thought of growing hair from Bharath ki Janta…

  • Ummer said- that's stupid and is only for girls!
  • Chaitu - yuck!  why? and talked endlessly!
  • Sushma-Urgh.. I don't know why they choose to...
  • Fido- Yappa.. hoge le.... and nodded his head in a denial
  • Dam - huh?
  • Ruts- haiyoo, ad bere.. and threw some of her stupid PJs
  • Sho- some look good, some don't
  • Mada-it looks good.. why do you ask?
  • Bhide-idiots.. doing something totally uncool in the name of being cool!
  • Eshu- well its fine for some, it doesn't suit everybody, but some look really ---- for example Jonhy ..
  • Akshu-depends some look really cute
  • Komal- I love it, followed by a wink ;)
  • Nibs - ha ha ha
  • Niranjan -  abba!!!!
percentage calculated and servey till now has proved that only 13% of  girls like boys with long hair... so, you'll find very less boys with long hair!  and this is a fact! what do you think???
  •  I thought- why not (hey, that rhymed! :D)  in the support of the most common reason for growing hair- ' just for the heck of it'
  •   well, let me just end abruptly here...!

Well, here I am in front of  the 14inch monitor looking right at me...  waiting for entries...
This being my very first post, there seems to be nothing striking to my brains about the very subject to be written!
  • One of the thoughts says.. just blabber on.. but be grandiloquent so that it looks good..
  • Maybe I should paste the 'poems'  I have written...
                                            Sweaty sticky all the skin
its the summer we are in.

or the Op-amp one or the Yawn one...

I happen to be going through  lots of whims...

  • I'm bored...
  • may be I can flick something  from others blog... but is that sinistral?
whatever!!

  • Whoa .. I can talk about dogs.. I know quite a lot about them... I love Labradors btw.. there are more to the favorite's list though......many times I feel I should have been a vet...
  • A superhero  who  writes  endless and stupendous posts..(thats the super Power )  might work here...
she should  have great wit albeit... thats very important in my world.... yeah.. I can write a few lines from "great works of Oscar Wilde" ...( flicked it from J..)  in lieu .... er.. but that will be awry.. and less dexterous..
  • I wonder what the hell I used to ramble on in my social studies papers or the essays...
I am feeling hungry now... (as always!!)

now I have a notion I could be prone to dual personality.. one of them loquacious.. I need that part of mine here.. how is this possible that I am talking nothing for quite some time now!!
  • life in college was good today.. came back from Tirupathi today morning.. (will write about that later).
  • I should just use my journal to comment on other's .... thats a better idea..  first of all I should get my friends to open a account here!! that's a challenging task.. they'll have to write then.. considering the fact that most of them are lethargic towards this..
  • thats it for today..(phew).. my stupid brother is standing beside me waiting for the system.. maybe I was waiting for this!!
  • let me just end by saying that the hoi-polloi  should understand the onerous task of writing the first post!!
